I don't think so

Round 10: Autumn 2013

Alexa and Brooke Harper are 21, Tom Patterson and Greg Newman are 20 and Charlie, Dixie and Janie Greene are 19.
(Erin is 18.)

Dixie and Tom love having the other students over now that they are more settled into their new home.

They even throw a party to celebrate the triplets' first year in university. At first they were thinking about a barbecue but it's much easier to buy a pizza and some beer from the 7/11 next door.

A couple of days after the party everyone seems to have recovered. Dixie and Tom have come to hang out in the dorm after classes but they seem to concentrate mostly on each other.

Greg calls Erin and asks her to meet him in Central Park in Wellington. He has come to a decision about the future.

"Look Erin, you're a really nice girl but I'm just too young to settle down. It's not you, it's me. I think it's best for both of us to break up," Greg mutters under his breath. The words melt into one big mess.

Erin can't believe it! It's true that Greg has been acting a bit distant lately but she never saw this coming. And how can it be best for them to break up? She's moving to Brixton with Iona next year, how the hell is she going to take care of her studies and her baby alone?

It seems that Charlie's motivation for studying lasted one semester. He hasn't made any real effort to get good grades, he's mainly depending on his luck and the fact that his professors think he's a "cool dude". No wonder Brooke hasn't been very motivated either ever since Charlie started college.

Brooke might be struggling with her studies but Alexa graduates right on schedule with a 3.4 GPA. Her parents Amabelle and Chase are so proud of her especially since they know that Alexa wasn't really interested in the academic world when she was younger.

Even big sister Paige comes to the graduation party. She and Alexa aren't very close but they hope to change that in the future.

Brooke manages to smile for the camera although it freaks her out that she's on the verge of flunking out.

Notes:
  • Title from "I don't think so" by Priscilla Ahn
  • Grades: Alexa got C+ on her last semester and graduated with a 3.4 GPA. Charlie got a C, Greg and Tom got B's and Janie and Dixie got A+ again. Brooke got a C. She barely made it but thanks to her wants for hamburgers she was able to get one cooking point and met the requirements to pass her exams. I don't know how she'll do in her final semester though, she needs at least one skill point in order to graduate and she never rolls any wants for skill points.
  • As you might have guessed, Erin got the Dumped! card on this round's ROS. It wouldn't have made much sense in the Fielding update because I had to get some background on why they would be breaking up. Greg took care of that problem on his own when he decided to do it with Janie. Erin will probably move to college anyway, I'll figure it out somehow.
  • You can see Alexa as an adult in her profile. She's aging up "officially" in the winter birthday post.

  1. I love when ROSs just work themselves out! Poor Erin though, all alone with a baby.

Alexa looks very smart in her uniform - I like it.

  2. I was so sad when I rolled that ROS for Erin but it worked out well in the end. Greg has been all over Janie ever since they moved into the same dorm.

That's Paige in the uniform, Alexa's the one who graduated. I like having my military sims in the uniform in more formal parties (like weddings etc).
