Rock on, Rudy

Round 5: 1996-2000

Sam's girlfriend Grace is a regular guest at the dinner table in the Cooper residence. Elissa doesn't mind though - she's happy that her son has found a nice girl. In fact she wishes that Ben would bring his girlfriend over sometime too.

Elissa goes into labor in the middle of the night. The boys rush into the room and although they're not identical, you could be fooled by their reaction. "I would laugh if it didn't hurt so much" Elissa mutters through her teeth.

Cal hasn't forgotten how to handle a newborn baby. He gives a bath to Daniel, Danny for short.

Sam has agreed with Grace that they should wait at least until they're at college before they have sex but there's no taming of the hormones of a teenage boy. He simply can't refuse when Veronica Andrews offers to test the springs of his parents' bed with him.

Cal gets fired after he breaks a valuable amplifier at work and lies about it to his boss. He has mixed feelings about getting the boot - on the other hand he has always wanted to try his hand in the music business but then again there are more reliable jobs for a father of three.

Ben gets a telescope but instead of looking for planets and constellations he spies the neighbors. Luckily the trees give him plenty of cover and no-one catches him peaking into their apartments.

Cal has met Alexander Greene in a support group for fathers of twins, triplets and quadruplets. They talk about how it will be hard to send all their kids to college. Alex is already worried how he'll afford to send 4 kids to university almost at the same time.

Little Danny has his first birthday. Elissa says he's too young to eat cake but he seems quite content playing with his talking rabbit toy.

Ben decides that it's about time to take his relationship with Denise to a new level. He asks her to go steady with him and she's more than happy to say yes.

Elissa enjoys the warm spring day by teaching Danny to walk on the balcony. He seems to grow up so fast! It feels like yesterday when he was born and now he's already taking his first steps.

"Mom, Dad, PLEASE..." the boys think it's disgusting that their parents still act like teenagers cuddling and kissing on the sofa.

Grace's mother comes for a visit as she's friends with Elissa. Sam tries to give a good first impression although he's nervous that maybe Olivia has heard rumors of him and Veronica.

Luckily the Coopers have spend a good amount of money on a security system. The alarm goes off the moment the burglar steps into their front yard.

The boys rush downstairs when they hear there's a fight going on.

Well done! The burglar is caught and the people of Wellington can sleep their nights safe and sound again.

Notes:
  • Title from "Rock on, Rudy" by Leevi and the Leavings
  • It feels like 100 years since my last update and I found it very hard to start writing again. Not Pulitzer material but not much happened either.
  • Sam is Family and apparently Family sims like to experiment with different partners. At least with ACR installed. I hope he doesn't make a habit of it though because I want him to stay with Grace.

  1. I've noticed that too. I had one family sim who wanted to be with four girls he was attracted too. He kept rolling wants for all of them, lol.

Don't worry, you'll get back on the updating wagon with no problems! I very much enjoyed this update!

  2. Yup, Family Sims are almost as bad as Romance Sims, unless you put them in a committed relationship. Is Sam going steady with Grace?

I had to laugh at the support group for twins, triplets and quads! You'd need a support group for quads, wouldn't you? LOL.

  3. I think Sam is going steady with Grace, I'm not 100% sure though. It'll be interesting to see what will happen when he goes to college next round (but only if he's able to get one more scholarship).

After reading the entry I realized that support group is a wrong word for it LOL. But anyway, in Finland there really are groups for parents with multiple births so they can exchange experiences etc.
